Letter from the National Society Colonial Dames XVII Century

National Society Colonial Dames XVII Century

Edmund Sheffield Chapter Colonial Dames XVII Century is a genealogical organization. We research our ancestors’ lineages back to the 17th Century. We are also proud of our marking and preservation of historical buildings. This year we chose Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church to honor. The church shines out as a gem within the heart of historic Ybor City.

The chairperson researched the church history and was approved for the marking, thus the plaque on the front of the church. We worked closely with Father Hector Cruz, S. M. on this project.

We had hoped to have a dedication and refreshments for members of the church and ladies of our chapter, but due to Covid-19 that is not safely possible.

We truly hope you are as pleased as we are for the lovely plaque. Please take a minute as you leave church to look at and read the wording on the plaque.

Thank you to Father Hector for his help and OLPH Church in making this plaque a reality.
