Confraternity of Christian Doctrine (CCD) for Children

Cofraternity of Christian Doctrine (CCD) Children’s religious education classes are held on Sunday mornings in the Convent right across the street from the church before & after Sunday Masses:

  • English CCD Classes for Children are on Sundays after the conclusion of the 9:00 am mass.  Note: After April 26, 2015, CCD classes will be on summer break. Registration for 2015/2016 CCD classes will be in August of 2015 with classes commencing in September of 2015.
  • Spanish CCD Classes for Children are on Sundays at 10:45 AM and conclude before the 11:45 mass.

The Confraternity of Christian Doctrine is an association established at Rome in 1562 for the purpose of giving religious education. Its modern usage, often abbreviated CCD or C.C.D., is a religious education program of the Roman Catholic Church, normally designed for children.

Right of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA)

Right of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) classes are held at the Rectory on Monday evenings at 7 pm.

RCIA is a process developed by the Catholic Church for prospective converts to Catholicism who are above the age of infant baptism. Candidates are gradually introduced to aspects of Catholic beliefs and practices. The basic process applies to adults and older children, with younger children initiated through an adapted version sometimes incorrectly referred to as the Rite of Christian Initiation of Children (RCIC).
