From today’s Gospel reading:
Then Jesus said to the woman, “Neither do I condemn you, Go, and from now on, do not sin anymore.”
Reflection:
One can imagine that hearing the Word of God, which did not condemn the woman, but set her free, might also have been a word that renewed and enabled her to start a new life. What effect would it have on us if we had done wrong and were ready to be harshly and justifiably judge – and weren’t? Would we feel that “the finger of God” had touched and freed us so we would start all over?
So, we ask ourselves:
Do we remember something someone said to us that deeply affected us and made a change in our lives? Is there a word we need to speak to someone that will set them free?

Del Evangelio de hoy:
Entonces Jesús le dijo a la mujer: “Tampoco te condeno, vete, y de ahora en adelante, no peques más”.
Reflexión:
La Palabra de Dios que la mujer escuchó, no fue de condenación sino de liberación. Esta Palabra la renovó y le permitió comenzar una nueva vida. ¿Cómo reaccionaríamos si hubiéramos obrado mal y estuviéramos listos para ser juzgados con dureza, aunque merecidamente, y de pronto escucháramos la Palabra de Dios que nos dijera que siempre no seríamos condenados? ¿Sentiríamos que “el dedo de Dios” nos hubiera tocado y liberado para poder comenzar de nuevo?
Entonces, nos preguntamos:
¿Recordamos algo que alguien nos haya dicho y que nos haya afectado profundamente, provocando un cambio en nuestras vidas?
¿No tenemos alguna palabra de liberación para con alguien?
