From today’s gospel reading:
Whoever wishes to come after me must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me. For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for may sake and that of the gospel will save it.
Reflection:
Love is actively caring for the needs of others. Jesus’ command to bear the cross propels his followers to actively engage in the world, not only having faith in Christ’s suffering, death, and resurrection, but taking those actions as models for how we serve one another.
So, we ask ourselves:

Reflexión:
El amor es velar activamente por las necesidades de los demás. El mandato de Jesús de tomar su propia cruz impulsa a sus seguidores a participar activamente en el mundo, no solo teniendo fe en el sufrimiento, la muerte y la resurrección de Cristo, sino tomando esos principios de fe como modelos de servicio de unos para con los otros.
