What a beautiful church community we have at OLPH. I am truly blessed and very grateful to be here. I have slowly been able to meet many of you, to see your love for the parish, to hear how OLPH has blessed you and your family, and to listen to your concerns for OLPH. There are some of you that I have not been able to have conversations with and which I look forward to talking to in the future.
After three months of being here, I am finally getting settled into the parish and developing a rhythm. One thing I have noticed is that there is plenty of great work in God’s vineyard ahead of us. To properly prepare, plan, and organize the parish for the road ahead, starting this week, OLPH will have to change its office hours once more. OLPH’s new office hours will be Wednesdays from 9am to 1pm. While the office and phone line will be closed the other days of the work week, please know that we will be monitoring phone messages and emails, and we will respond to both the phone messages and emails as quickly as we can.
These new office hours will allow us to focus on the many tasks that lie ahead and address some of the much-needed larger projects at the parish. As we begin to plan for the road ahead, please stay tuned for different volunteer opportunities at OLPH. Many of you have already approached me to ask how you can volunteer at the parish. In the weeks and months ahead, different opportunities will become available. As they become available, I will invite you to discern which volunteer opportunities God might be inviting you to be involved in.
Actually, I have a volunteer opportunity for you to discern right now. Every Thursday at 6:00 PM in our social hall OLPH volunteers prepare and distribute a hot meal to the homeless and others in need in our area. This faithful group of volunteers has been doing this for years. They could use some more volunteers. The volunteers usually arrive around 5:15 PM to make the meals and finish with cleanup around 6:30 PM. Please pray and discern if this might be a ministry God is calling you to. You do not have to come for the entire time. You can come for part of it and assist where you are able. Come check it out on any Thursday with no strings attached to help in your discernment.
I am truly blessed to be a part of this wonderful OLPH Family, and I look forward to where God calls us in the future. Be assured of my continued prayers, and please pray for me as well.

¡Qué hermosa comunidad eclesial tenemos en OLPH! Me siento verdaderamente bendecido y muy agradecido de estar aquí. Poco a poco he podido conocer a muchos de ustedes, ver su amor por la parroquia, escuchar cómo OLPH los ha bendecido a ustedes y a sus familias, y escuchar sus pre-ocupaciones por OLPH. Hay algunos con quienes no he podido conversar y con quienes espero poder hablar en el futuro.
Después de tres meses aquí, finalmente me estoy adaptando a la parroquia y encontrando un ritmo. Algo que he notado es que tenemos mucho traba-jo por delante en la viña de Dios. Para preparar, planificar y organizar adecuadamente la parroquia para el camino que nos espera, a partir de esta semana, OLPH tendrá que cambiar su horario de oficina una vez más. El nuevo horario de oficina será los miércoles de 9:00 a. m. a 1:00 p. m. Si bien la oficina y la línea telefónica estarán cerradas el resto de la semana laboral, les informamos que estaremos monitoreando sus mensajes telefónicos y correos electrónicos, y responderemos a ambos a la mayor brevedad posible.
Este nuevo horario de oficina nos permitirá enfocarnos en las muchas tareas que tenemos por delante y abordar algunos de los proyectos más im-portantes y necesarios en la parroquia. Mientras comenzamos a planificar el futuro, estén atentos a las diferentes oportunidades de voluntariado en OLPH. Muchos de ustedes ya me han contactado para preguntarme cómo pueden ser voluntarios en la parroquia. En las próximas semanas y meses, se abrirán diferentes oportunidades.
