New Sign at OLPH

New Sign at OLPH
Christine Borgia at the new OLPH sign

Did you know that Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church has a new sign on Palm Avenue? This has been one of my favorite projects – it has always been my opinion that we need to “tell” the community about our church with a nice sign on the busy street behind the church, with mass times and our website address. Our old sign needed an upgrade. After taking this matter to Parish Council, they agreed, and our Council member Christine Borgia graciously volunteered to seek bids for a wonderful rehabilitation of the sign.

The winning bid was from Bob Burmaster of Image 360, who has an office right here in Ybor City. It included everything we wanted, even electrification! But this was back in March, 2020, just as the pandemic was starting, and the project was placed on hold. As things began to open up, by September the project was back on track, and Mr. Burmaster had only minor adjustments to the price.

Thanks to a very generous donor, the new sign at OLPH was paid for entirely without having to touch our building fund!
