AN ADVENT CHALLENGE:
UPDATE AND INCREASE OUR REGISTERED PARISHIONERS ROSTER
My dear brothers and sisters,
This time of Advent is a time when we reflect about the great gift from God the Father: with the gift of his Son, Jesus Christ, new heavens, and a new earth are available to us. Now we have a chance to participate in this new creation, in this new age, where everything is created anew.
I am joyfully communicating this Good News, not only in favor of the renewal of your own personal lives but also in favor of the life of our church, Our Lady of Perpetual Help.
Let us try, joining efforts, to re-create the life of our parish community. We have in front of our eyes two big challenges during the year 2024, that we must face if we want to accomplish this parish renewal.
The first one is to participate wholehearted in the 2024 Catholic Ministry Appeal Campaign that will kick off in January. The second one is to support an Increased Offertory Campaign around the spring of 2024, which will be absolutely necessary if we want to, financially, keep the parish afloat.
For both campaigns we need to update and increase our registered parishioners’ roster.
In a couple of weeks, you will receive from the parish office a more detailed list of things to do to reach our goal.
I count on you, so our parish community can begin to live in a new age!

UN RETO PARA EL ADVIENTO:
PONER AL DIA E INCREMENTAR LA LISTA DE PARROQUIANOS REGISTRADOS
Mis queridos hermanos y hermanas,
Este tiempo de Adviento es un tiempo en el que reflexionamos sobre el gran don de Dios Padre: con el don de su Hijo, Jesu-cristo, nuevos cielos y una nueva tierra están a nuestra disposición. Ahora tenemos la oportunidad de participar en esta nueva creación, en esta nueva era, donde todo es creado nuevo.
Les comunico con alegría esta Buena Noticia, no sólo a favor de la renovación de sus vidas personales sino también a favor de la vida de nuestra Iglesia, . Nuestra Señora del Perpetuo Socorro.
Intentemos, sumando esfuerzos, recrear la vida de nuestra comunidad parroquial. Tenemos frente a nuestros ojos dos grandes desafíos, durante el año 2024, que debemos enfrentar, si queremos lograr esta renovación parroquial.
El primero es participar de todo corazón en la Campaña para los Ministerios Católicos 2024, que comenzará en enero. Y el segundo, apoyar una campaña, que veo como absolutamente necesaria para aumentar la ofrenda semanal, esta campaña dará inicio hacia la primavera del 2024, es el único camino que nos queda si queremos mantener a flote económicamente la parroquia.
Para ambas campañas necesitaremos actualizar nuestra lista de feligreses registrados e incrementarla.
En un par de semanas, recibirán de la oficina parroquial una lista más detallada de las cosas que deberemos de hacer para alcanzar esa meta.
¡Cuento con ustedes para que nuestra comunidad parroquial pueda comenzar a vivir una nueva era!
