TRYING OUR BEST TO RENEW OUR PERSON AND OUR PARISH
HAPPY NEW YEAR, my dear parishioners!
I am inviting you, at the beginning of this new year, to join me in the pursuing of a personal and parish-wide renewal. That is why I am leading by my example, conducting today an evaluation of my performance as pastor of Our Lady of Perpetual Help church. This evaluation will help me see things in my role, as your parish priest, that I can improve or change.
Now it is your turn. Try to set new goals or resolutions, in your personal life and in your participation in this parish, for 2024.
If you have ended up frustrated because of your unaccomplished resolutions for 2023, try to change your tactics following these three tips:
First: Live a life closely tight to God, because only through his grace is the way you would be able to change something in your life. Without God we are nothing, we cannot do anything.
Second: Focus on a small and possible change. If you are not successful with something last year, you would like to pick up a different resolution for this year.
Third: Write something, maybe a phare that you can frame and have in your sight, which will remind you of your resolution.
On respect of your involvement with the renovation of the parish community, you may begin by renewing your efforts to support the Catholic Ministry Appeal. We are starting this campaign right away, this month. Later, in the spring, I will ask for your best effort supporting our parish finances.
With the help of God, make your best effort!

HACIENDO TODO LO POSIBLE PARA RENOVAR NUESTRA PERSONA Y NUESTRA PARROQUIA
¡FELIZ AÑO NUEVO, mis queridos feligreses!
Los invito, al comienzo de este nuevo año, a unirse a mí en la búsqueda de una renovación personal y parroquial. Es por eso que, poniendo el ejemplo, estoy realizando hoy una evaluación de mi desempeño como párroco de la iglesia de Nuestra Señora del Perpetuo Socorro. Esta evaluación me ayudará a ver cosas en mi rol, como su párroco, que puedo mejorar o cambiar.
Ahora les toca a ustedes. Traten de establecer nuevas metas o propósitos para el 2024 en su vida personal y en su participación en esta parroquia.
Si han terminado frustrados por sus propósitos incumplidos para 2023, intenten cambiar sus tácticas siguiendo estos tres consejos:
Primero: Vivan una vida cercana a Dios, porque solo a través de su gracia es la forma en que podrán cambiar algo en su vida, sin Dios no somos nada, no podemos hacer nada.
Segundo: Enfóquense en un cambio pequeño y posible. Si no tuvieron éxito con algo el año pasado, elijan una resolución diferente para este año.
Tercero: Escriban algo, tal vez una frase que puedan enmarcar y tener a la vista, que les recuerde su resolución.
Con respecto a su participación en la renovación de la comunidad parroquial, pueden comenzar renovando sus esfuerzos para apoyar la Campaña del Ministerio Católico. Comenzamos esta campaña de inmediato, este mes. Más tarde, en la primavera, les pediré su mejor esfuerzo para apoyar las finanzas de nuestra parroquia.
