From today’s Gospel reading:
Some Greeks who had come to worship at the Passover Feast came to Philip, who was from Bethsaida in Galilee, and asked him, “Sir, we would like to see Jesus”.
Reflection:
These Greeks came first to Philip, Philip told Andrew, and both went to tell Jesus. That is the way all of us have come to know Jesus. Other believers in Christ have introduced us to him, and not one but two or more of Jesus’ disciples have taken the task upon themselves to bring us to our Savior and teach us all about the generosity and willingness to give up things to serve the Lord and our faith community.
So, we ask ourselves:
Maybe God is calling me now to serve the church, as Philip and Andrew helped these Greek men to find Jesus. Maybe I am called now to serve the parish community in various ministries and groups.
We need Money Counters now—people who can help us count the Sunday collections. If you have some dominion of the English language and are accessible on Mondays (from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.), your help would be invaluable.
Beginning January 2025, we will need one bilingual (English, Spanish) Wedding and Quinceañeras Coordinator (or one in Spanish and another in English).
These two ministries are the most urgent; later, I will publish other ministries in which you could volunteer your service as well.

De la lectura del Evangelio de hoy:
Algunos griegos que habían venido a adorar en la fiesta de la Pascua se acercaron a Felipe, que era de Betsaida de Galilea, y le pregun-taron: “Señor, nos gustaría ver a Jesús”.
Reflexión:
Estos griegos fueron primero a ver a Felipe, Felipe le dijo a Andrés, y ambos fueron a decírselo a Jesús. Esa es la forma en que todos hemos llegado a conocer a Jesús. Otros creyentes en Cristo nos lo han presentado; y no uno, sino dos o más. Ellos han asumido la tarea de llevarnos a nuestro Salvador y enseñarnos todo acerca de la generosidad y la disposición a renunciar a muchas cosas para servir al Señor y a nuestra comunidad de fe.
Entonces, nos preguntamos:
Tal vez Dios me está llamando ahora a servir a la iglesia, así como Felipe y Andrés ayudaron a estos hombres griegos a encontrar a Je-sús. Tal vez ahora estoy siendo llamado a servir a la comunidad parroquial en cualquiera de sus diversos ministerios y grupos.
Necesitamos por lo pronto, contadores de dinero. Personas que nos ayuden a contar las colectas dominicales. Si tienes cierto dominio del idioma inglés y estás libre los lunes (de 9:00 a.m. a 12 p.m.) tu ayuda sería invaluable.
A partir de enero de 2025, necesitaremos un Coordinador de Bodas y Quinceañeras bilingüe (inglés, español), o uno en español y otro en inglés.
Estos dos ministerios son los más urgentes, más adelante publicaré otros ministerios en los que también podrías prestar tus servicios como voluntario.
