From the letter of Paul to the Romans
You know the time; it is the hour now for you to awake from sleep. For our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed; the night is advanced, the day is at hand. Let us then throw off the works of darkness and put on the armor of light.
Reflection
Early Christians thought that Christ would come again during their lifetime. When that did not happen, some of them began to lose their enthusiasm. Paul wrote to the Romans to help them understand that they must keep their enthusiasm, because Christ will truly come again.
If we are alert, we can see that Christ also comes to us every day, individually when we die, and at the end of time.
So, we ask ourselves
If we want to regain focus for our existence and turn our thoughts to meaning. What could give meaning to our lives, give us direction, move us forward, sustain us? What can help us see more clearly among all the conflicting possibilities and demands of our day?

De la carta de Pablo a los Romanos
Ustedes saben la hora; Es hora para que despierten del sueño. Porque nuestra salvación está más cerca ahora que cuando creímos por primera vez; La noche está avanzada, el día está cerca. Desechémonos, entonces, de las obras de las tinieblas y pongámonos la armadura de la luz.
Reflexión
Los primeros cristianos pensaban que Cristo vendría de nuevo durante su vida. Cuando eso no sucedió, algunos de ellos comenzaron a perder su entusiasmo. Pablo escribió a los romanos para ayudarles a entender que debían mantener su entusiasmo, porque Cristo realmente vendría de nuevo.
Si estamos alerta, podemos ver que Cristo también viene a nosotros todos los días, individualmente cuando morimos, y al final de los tiempos.
Entonces, nos preguntamos
Si queremos recuperar el enfoque para nuestra existencia y dirigir nuestros pensamientos a encontrar una razón de ser. ¿Qué podría dar sentido a nuestras vidas, darnos dirección, movernos hacia adelante y sostenernos en nuestra jornada? ¿Qué podría ayudarnos a ver más claramente entre todas las posibilidades y demandas conflictivas de nuestro mundo?
