From today’s Gospel reading
Jesus told his disciples a parable about the necessity for them to pray always without becoming weary.
Reflection
Prayer has enormous power. But to tap that power, we must persevere in praying. And, finally, we must not expect immediate results form our prayer. These will come in God’s own way and in God’s own good time.
So, I ask myself: Why should I pray?
“I pray because I am a Christian; and to do what a Christian must do, I need help.
I pray because there is confusion in my life; and to do what is right, I need light.
I pray because I must make decisions; but the choices are not always clear, so I need
guidance, I pray because I have doubts; and to keep growing in my faith, I need help.
I pray because most of what I have has been given to me, so / ought to give thanks.
I pray because Jesus prayed to his Father; and if he considered it important, so should I.”

Jesús les dijo a sus discípulos una parábola sobre la necesidad de que araran siempre y sin cansarse.
Reflexión
La oración tine un enorme poder. Pero para aprovechar ese poder, debemos perseverar en la oración. Y, finalmente, no debemos esperar resultados inmediatos de nuestra oración. Estos vendran a la manera de Dios y en el tiempo que Dias disponga.
Entonces, me pregunto: ¿Por qué debo orar?
“Rezo porque soy cristiano; y para hacer lo que un cristiano debe hacer, necesito ayuda. Rezo porque hay confusión en mi vida; y para hacer lo correcto, necesito luz. Rezo porque debo tomar decisiones; pero las opciones no siempre son claras, así que necesito orientación. Rezo porque tengo dudas; y para seguir creciendo en mi fe, necesito ayuda. Rezo porque la mayor parte de lo que tengo me ha sido dado, asi que debo dar gracias. Rezo porque Jesús oró a su Padre; y si él lo consideraba importante, yo también debería hacerlo”.
